Paragliding Course is 9.5k per person. Its a two day course, and the guy said we will atleast get 6-7 flights along with the theory.

I asked if he could discount the charge, if we have a group for which he said the course is run on a not for profit basis and hence i did not ask further. Apparently individual registration is acceptable too!

Anyone else still interested?

p.s:I am still leaning towards going!

You meet a lot of people in life and some of them are close at particular times and then drift away. I always believed that i would run into them at some other moment, Hence i never say goodbye.

But sometimes life behaves so abruptly that it leaves you in knots. Right through college i was good friends with Neha Singh and today i came to know that she drowned in picnic accident, NDTV has the details. I am in complete and utter shock, all those moments i spent in the OAT talking to her, the time we watched Spy Kids 2 and the time her dad treated me to dinner are looping in my head.

I even found a old picture of hers i had taken using my cellphone. I think this was the Aatmatrisha in 2004.

Rest in peace Neha, you will be remembered fondly and your energy and enthusiasm will stay with me for life.

Updates on how GAUDEC went will be up on my Gnome Blog soon, this post mostly talks about my awesome kickass ubercool trip to London and Scotland.

I had the first two lines written three days ago and haven't managed to write more, so i am just gonna post pictures. Hope you are one of those who think a "picture is worth a thousand words". Here are my sixteen thousand.

i) Trip to london

* Watched the match at lords

* Went to the museums and the usual famous monuments (Big Ben, St Pauls Cathedral etc etc)

* Hung out with some old friends and their new friends (;))) or to put it in jugga's words
their new close friends. They were both awesome hosts!

2) Trip to Edinburgh

i) Trekked to the top of a local hill, snagappa led the way as we walked around the city
and generally had a ball. Conversations were similar to old times and thoroughly entertaining as
always.

ii) Took a tour to the highlands, some of the scottish countryside is breathtakingly beautiful.
The people were amazingly friendly, I hear a lot of "Indians are friendly people" but most
of the Europeans i met were as friendly and probably more helpful.

All in all, it was an awesome experience and i have pretty much decided i will visit atleast
one new country every year fro now on.

India at Lords

I watched India v/s England at lords today, much thanks to Abhishek for booking the ticket for me and being an absolutely splendid host. As for the match it was fascinating and the whole experience of sitting in a foreign country where Indian supporters are the minority is intriguing. Although i should say it was the Indian supporters who were the boisterous lot and the english counterparts were the polite clappers.

This country has been very nice to me so far and i am having an absolute ball, the only irritant is seeing Shilpa Shetty's picture on the front page of tabloids...

Need Help

Turns out the Gnome Foundation has agreed to sponsor my trip to this years GUADEC. Since GUADEC is in Birmingham,UK. I need to sort out the Passport/VISA issues.

Currently i have a passport which expires on August 8th, My probable travel plans as of now are (July 13th- July 26th). I was told that its risky to apply for visa without renewing the passport!

Now the problem is: Whats the fastest way to renew a passport? People at my office told me that getting a reissue: which involves repeating all steps necessary to get a passport is the fastest way out. This step is painful and i would like to avoid it.

Do you guys know of any optimal way to go about this? I would like to get this done asap so i can apply for VISA.

Contact numbers of any trusted travel agents who can help me with this would be appreciated too!

Incident of a dog in the night time

A dog jumped out of no where and went under my car today. The impact killed it immediately, I feel so terrible inspite of knowing i couldn't have done anything about it!

Making a dent in the universe!

In my quest to keep from getting bored, I have constantly tried to involve myself into new things and one such
thing which i started a year back was RadioVeRVe. When we did start it i never assumed it would grow into such an integral part of my life, its almost become bit of an identity.

These days whenever i meet people i never forget to mention "That i run my own independent internet radio station", this is partly because i get the "oh how cool" from all the pretty chicks but also because it is something i am damn proud of!

Today we are launching the all new RadioVeRVe, the sparkling new things are

1) New carnatic classical radio station- RadioVeRVe-Classical
2) New Konkani radio station- RadioVeRVe-Konkani
3) New Gospel Radio Station- RadioVeRVe-Gospel
4) Brand new website made by the ultra cool Ganesh Rao.

Afaik, We are probably the first in India to have such an ensemble with rj content!

So head over there and give it a test run, and let me know if you like something or if you would like something to be changed and i will gladly do the needful! And yes spread the word!
